One of the reasons I’m not settled with iPhone 3G is the fact that it is a Jailbroken one. Upgraded to 3.0 and now it’s really slow. 3.0 wasn’t made for 3G at all.

As for Blackberry it’s a serious phone that gets things done. But no luxury of nice colors n’ a soft touch. No fun.

I discussed this with our account manager about the extra data charge. It’s because sometimes it would use GPRS instead of 3G in some areas that don’t have 3G coverage. Is that my fault though? No BB foul, it’s Etisalat’s shortcoming that I have to pay :S

In my point of view, as well as many other techies, an iPhone is useless without jailbreaking it. And once you jailbreak it, it becomes unstable. My iPhone is really driving me crazy, and I seriously thought of moving to Blackberry.
You’re point that Etisalat is charging you for data is questionable. You need to check back with them. They might tell you that the BIS package covers only data transmitted over 3G, while the ones you’re charged for are for data used in HSDPA, which is typical of Etisalat. You can’t blame Blackberry for that, you should blame Etisalat instead.

i agree with your post. It seems to me that music on demand project was a side deal. unless you read the press release you will never reach to this newly launched service.

Bold is really neat! It’s amazing how the bulky phones full of features and usable are becoming slim, slick and yet look classy.
